Rae Delisle is an artist and poet, exploring her personal humanity and consciousness as a means of awakening to deeper levels of what it means to fully give oneself to the somatic and spiritual experience of being human.

Beginning as a form of self healing, she has used painting as an act of witnessing the most “broken” parts of herself by meeting herself on canvas in meditative study of her inner experience.

Using imagery of the human form, her work aims to illuminate the embodied process of healing, ongoing multicultural spiritual practice and the reclamation of the whole human experience and the truth that resides within.

Each work is a timestamp along the path of meeting her mind and emotional body exactly where she stands, and grappling with the process of integration.

Through this work she finds embodied awareness of consciousness itself, her truest self and also that of the ego and mind made perception. Her work is navigating the balance between and the inherent duality of being human while bringing that conversation into form.

She hopes that her work can be a bridge to the unseen within all of us, spark insight within another and aid in connection and conversation to what is often hard to name.
