Meeting with Parts

Acrylic and Water on Canvas

3ft x 4ft

2025

This piece is a visual meditation mandala of the inner world of one. The painting is initially inspired by the Buddhist Dakini Mandala of the Empowered Divine Feminine and wholly inspired by a personal pursuit of wholeness. The imagery represents  the meditative space in which we can meet with every version of ourselves. The quadrants loosely resemble the color dissection of the Dakini mandala but come to form the full spectrum of color, creating a three dimensional mandala of the whole self in all it’s various expressions.

The center figure represents the most core self, the one that witnesses and holds the space for all the versions. It is in full acceptance that the figure can embody their whole self in all its expressions. Not one color or form being denied or hidden but instead embraced and held.  It is about embodiment of the whole of it, the messy, beautiful and true.
